Califia Farms Seasonal Products Review
Just like every other fall-obsessive female out there (that's the nice way of writing what you all know I'm really trying to say) I love pumpkin spice! Granted coffee shops actually keep these flavors in the back year round depriving us until September, it's still a seasonal flavor that we cherish three out of twelve months of the year. It's a warming, almost spicy flavor that is an instant reminder of crunchy leaves, cozy sweaters, and maybe a crackling fire.
I also love coffee. I've made a Vegan Dirty Chai Latte for you before which is best for when you don't want to wait in line or simply to save money. If you're looking for a good breakfast to accompany your morning coffee, I recommend my Protein Packed Chocolate Oatmeal for it's nutritional benefits or my Energizing Chocolate Granola for when you need an extra energy boost!
Being vegan, I don't usually get to enjoy all the standard seasonal products sold at grocery stores during this time of year. However, one of my all time favorite vegan dairy brands, Califia Farms, made a few different pumpkin spice themed products this season and you know I had to snag them!
One of my favorites is the Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew for its intense coffee flavor combined with a slight sweetness. Even though this is meant to be drunk in place of coffee by itself, I actually prefer to use it as a creamer. I personally find it too sweet to drink alone and I feel it doesn't have enough caffeine to get me through the day the way coffee does. However, it's still delicious and I do recommend you get some before it's gone since it's only seasonal!
Califia Farms has a Vegan Pumpkin Spice Creamer, as well, which I keep at the office and use daily. It's sweeter than the cold brew, as most creamers would be but doesn't leave an odd after taste, which I especially love! I wish these flavors weren't seasonal because they're so delicious and the best vegan creamers on the market right now.
Today I was able to pick up the Mint Cocoa Creamer at the Whole Foods in Roscoe Village and WOW - it's good. If you love mint chocolate you'll love this. It's sweet but perfectly balanced by the mint flavor. This is another flavor I wish was available year round, I'd gladly add this to my coffee everyday.
I also saw Califia Farms' other Christmas themed flavors at Whole Foods such as a Holiday Nog and Peppermint Mocha Cold Brew. I love Califia Farms because all their products are soy free, gluten-free, and non-GMO - how amazing is that?
Have you tried any of their new seasonal products? What are your opinions on the flavor/texture? Would you recommend them? Comment below, I'd love to know your opinions!
